The 11th International Wine Testing VinAgora
17-20 June 2010.

The 11th International Wine Testing VinAgora -considered to be the “wine compass” of Middle Europe- has been organized in the time period in the Thermal Hotel of Visegrád. 552 wine samples from 21 countries (Europe, South America, New Zeeland and USA) have been sent to Hungary.

The organizers of the challenge –one of the 10 biggest challenges on the World- is the Magyar Szőlő- és Borkultúra Nonprofit Kft. This challenge is organized since 1992 each year at other site in order to make familiar the members of the international jury with the excellence and beauties of the Hungarian wine regions. At the wine testing from this year an international jury consisting of 54-persons evaluated the entered white, red and rose, late harvest, furthermore botrytized and liqueur wines, the champaign. 7 champion-prices, 83 gold- and 84 silver medals have been awarded.

The foreign members of the jury, well named wine experts, have arrived from Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Croatia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Tunisian. Among the Hungarian wine experts there have been young, 2nd generation wine makers.
